*Job Title: .Net Developer/Configuration SpecialistLocation: Lansing, MIDuration: 10 Months* *This position is for one (1) .NET Developer / Configuration Specialist resource to work on legislatively mandated fee and rule changes. This position will be the lead .NET developer/configuration specialist supporting our New Fee Legislation Project. The lead developer will be responsible for the construction of changes to the .NET applications & will be responsible for the creation of builds to deploy & test the application. The cornerstone of this solution is Microsoft .Net architecture with Model View Controller (MVC), providing for integrated development, management, and security services. Based on the .Net architecture, this solution optimizes the distribution of hardware, software, data and control, making appropriate information available to the affected users and application across all phases of the project. All systems data is stored in the Microsoft SQL Server Database Management System. The Microsoft SQL Service engine is run on two servers while the data is stored on the State of Michigan Storage Area Network. There are interfaces to many outside systems, some real time, using MSMQ, others are batch. The security for this System is the State of Michigan Active Directory (AD). This System is hosted on the Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS) servers using the Microsoft .Net Framework. All .Net objects, along with the client–facing Web pages are stored on the Microsoft IIS servers. ExpressSOS, MiEFS and ExpressSOS interfaces are deployed using the COMET.NET <http://COMET.NET> solution framework. The .NET architecture provides a set of robust facilities for application development and is the programming model underlying developing, deploying, and running Web services and applications for COMET. The .NET common language runtime and class libraries are at the center of the .NET Framework. The common language runtime manages memory, security, and language integration. The State uses .NET common language runtime running on Windows 2003 servers, which will be upgraded to 2012 in the near future. The .NET managed business components in COMET use ADO.NET <http://ADO.NET> to connect to the SQL Server database where the operational data is stored. The contractor will develop programs, debug code, create test data, test system according to specifications supplied by the State. Contractor will document code according to State standards. * *Skills Required Experience performing configuration management with Team Foundation Server (TFS) Experience performing configuration management for .NET applications using SQL Server database management system Experience with configuration management with web-based applications Experience building and deploying packages for a client-server and web-based applications Object Oriented Programming, WCF, VB.NET <http://VB.NET>, SOA, Visual Studio 2008, Enterprise Library, MSMQ, Security Fundamentals, SSIS, SSRS, ASP.NET <http://ASP.NET>, MVC, HTML and SQL Experience Required At least 7 years experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) configuring & administration At least 7 years experience performing configuration management activities of web based applications At least 10 years experience with web development in VB.NET <http://VB.NET> and ASP.NET <http://ASP.NET> At least 8 years experience as a .NET technical leader At least 10 years experience with web development and a SQL backend At least 3 years experience with MVC 4.0 or higher .NET technologies and frameworks Experience with object oriented programming concepts, leading code reviews, enforcing development standards, refining software development and build processes, and assisting with quality improvement activities related to software development.
