*API Developer * *6 months * *Redwood City, California * *Desired Skills and Experience:* · Bachelors or Master Degree in Computer Science or related areas with minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in agile software development; at least 3 years in development of web services and API interfaces. · Journeyman level Java programming capability; knowledge and use of patterns and automated testing; knowledge of scalability and performance. · Experience with and understanding of a variety of service development tool sets and platforms (MuleSoft Mule ESB, Apache CXF, Tomcat). · Demonstrable expertise in defining web services architectures and programming in both the SOAP / Web 2.0 SOA paradigms. · Experience designing API interfaces or developer SDKs. · Deep understanding of the Web Services lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy), API versioning and design approaches, tools, inter-operation and SOA concepts. · Familiarity with the API technology landscape and API management vendor’s landscape (Apigee, MuleSoft). · Detailed understanding of software engineering principles, and software development methodologies (specifically Agile). · Ability to contribute to product requirements definition, reviews, and recommends product architectures. Translate design inputs into development work items.
