Position : San Administrator Location :Chicago, IL Duration : 6 Month Contract-To-Hire Requirements: This individual functions as storage administrator. The administrator is required to have strong knowledge of software performance as related to San storage to troubleshoot issues. The administrator also would be required to upgrade, configure, install, tune, monitor, mentor, lead and participate in subject matter projects. Essential Functions: Maintain and manage critical core business SAN storage units and switches within the organization. Configure, maintain, monitor and enhance storage activities in coordination with different team members or groups within the organization. Generate scripts to perform system administration activities Provide support for on-call duties Maintain additional core appliances within the organization General Experience: 5+ years on managing and maintaining SAN storage units and fibre switches 5+ years with SAN architecture, design and enhancements 5+ years in SAN storage performance analysis and monitoring within the server and application activities 5+ years leading SAN projects and teams 5+ years in generating or modifying scripts in Shell, KornShell, Perl, C++ or similar languages 3+ years in maintaining and managing Tivioli Storage Manager or other backup methodologies 3+ years maintaining SAN replication between arrays in a multiple datacenter environment Computer Experience: Must have experience with IBM SAN Storage technologies Must have experience with Cisco fiber switch and zoning Must be able to scripting in Shell, KornShell, Perl, C++ or like languages Must be able to provide detail performance analysis within the SAN storage and components beyond the servers such as the switches, network and server connectivity utilizing tools or other methods Must be proficient with diagnostics tools for the SAN storage and servers Proficient on generating graphs using tools such as Excel or generating diagrams Microsoft system administration experience a plus Knowledge of Linux/ UNIX particularly AIX 6.1+, AIX 7.1, RHEL 5.x, 6.x and/or Vmware 5.x is a plus Regards Alvin Stuart Recruiter Direct:609-423-4045 [email protected] Gtalk – [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
