Job Title: Business Analyst Location: New York City, NY - (NY, NJ or PA candidates only) Duration: 6 months *Rate: $45/hr on c2c* Client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a project in New York City. Lead research, analyze and develop system work flow, business rules and policies to enhance internal operations and computer systems. Lead JAD sessions with business stakeholders and operationalize state and agency policies. Develop business requirement and system functional specification documents for computer applications that will support those policies. Analyze agency wide workflow systems to identify opportunities for improvement through automation. Assist in developing scripts, scenarios and perform comprehensive testing of applications based on business and functional requirements documented. Prepare training curriculum and learning aids for computer systems; write user manuals and guides for applications Perform training for end-users and management staff on computer system functions to improve overall efficiency. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Must have over 6 years experience in business requirement gathering, project management, testing and creation of workflow for large scale computer systems. Must have a minimum of 6 years of business analysis and implementation of large scale web based applications. Must have at least 4 years of demonstrated practice using MS Visio for flowcharting. Must have at least 3 years of experience in analyzing, disseminating and interpreting public sector policies and procedures. Must have at least 1 year of demonstrated practice using BPMN. At least 6 years experience in writing user documentation, testing scripts, training materials and manuals, and user guides. Must have at least 3 years of demonstrated practice using MS Project. Strong experience system planning, testing, piloting and system implementation Demonstrated experience in Application, User Interface analysis and testing; understanding in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Excellent writing and communication skills. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing web applications in Java and Oracle development environment. A minimum of 2 years of experience in business process reengineering. Knowledge of using TOAD or other tools for data analysis. A minimum of 1 year of using Axure for wire framing Ability to work independently and communicate with staff of all levels Thank you!
