Title: Data Modeler Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 3 months Mandatory Technical Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.Minimum 8 years of experience in designing Data models, database for mid to large BI projects.Must have minimum 6 years of experience working with SQL Server and Teradata databases.Must have minimum 6 years of experience data analysis (source and target).Must have 3 to 4 implementations experience in designing dimensional model (Star Schema) from ER Model Source.Must have experience working with dimensional modeling, aggregate tables, transactional source systems.Should be strong in Database and Data Warehouse Concepts.Effective participant of requirements gathering, requirement analysis required.Quick problem solver, attention to details required.Ability to work independently and in a team environment effectively with minimum supervision, Should be Proficient with on time delivery.Good communication skills in order to convey designs/issues/solutions to the client and also the ability to estimate work and convey risks, issues in a timely manner.Proactively contribute to add value to the project.Airline domain knowledge is a plus. Responsibilities / Tasks to be performed Work with business analyst, business partners and technical teams to understand requirements, source system, data analysis to design target model (star).Creation Data Models (Dimensional Model) for target system which are suitable for BI project and business requirements.Working with DB design, creating tables.Creation of source to Target mapping documents.Writing Database SQL scripts .work on performance tuning.Creation of documentstion both functional and technical.Participation in status meetings.
