Role: Mainframe COBOL Developer Location: Harrisburg, PA Duration: 5-10 months *Rate: $40/hr on C2C* Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, COBOL, IBM Mainframe DB2, ISPF/TSO, IBM SORT/ICETOOL experience, IBM JCL. IMS DB is not necessary, but would be a plus. Responsibilities and Projects: 1. CDLIS Master Pointer project – Help finalize DB2 Table Design, complete Table Design document. Help identify current system impacts. Write Program Specifications. Code and Unit Test programs. 2. Learn about and support the DL&C Driver History/Abstract processes. Only one PennDOT Team Member is familiar with this sub-system at the moment and this person may be retiring this year. 3. Learn about and support the MEDS Legacy Interface processes. Same reason as above. 4. As needed, complete AOPC Court of Common Pleas Violation Form Reprints as requested by the Internal Business Community. 5. Lastly, assist other related activities due to priority/legislative changes.
