Team has a global responsibility providing service and support for
technologies used by nearly 100,000 users. This position will be
responsible for the design and implementation of virtualization
technologies as defined by the enterprise reference architecture of virtual
technologies within the organization. Will provide technical expertise and
operational support of virtual application and desktop solutions. Expected
to serve as an escalation point for technology solutions to assure high
availability of systems, as well as compliance and security standards are
being adhered to and technical objectives are being met. Promote and work
to define process improvement initiatives to be implemented by teams. He or
she will be self-motivated, proactive, and demonstrate high levels of
creativity and initiative. Must possess outstanding communication and
relationship skills to establish rapport and be a primary liaison with all
levels of leadership, business stakeholders, peers, vendors, and technology
partners. This position requires a solid grasp of architecture, strategy
and technologies. The successful candidate is expected to lead and
participate in technical discussions. This position will also partner with
other security, networking, storage, and midrange teams providing project
resources and problem resolution. The candidate should have a solid grasp
of application, network communications, and server level technical
troubleshooting techniques.



·        Act as SME of the Enterprise Virtual Desktop initiative including
the updating, authoring and publishing all relevant design and architecture
artifacts.

·        Ensure high availability and performance of existing virtual
desktop infrastructures.

·        Maintain a high level of user satisfaction with new and existing
technologies.

·        Serve as an escalation point for level 1 and level 2 support teams.

·        Collaborate with other Architects to design and align the next
generation of the agile and mobile desktop.

·        Engineers technology solutions to assure compliance and security
standards are being adhered to and technical objectives are being met.

·        Must present clear analysis/presentations verbally and in writing
weekly to different levels of the organization.

·        Pro-actively anticipates technical risks and issues and ensures
that appropriate mitigation planning is in place to avoid compromising
delivery.

·        Support activities to Identify technologies to deploy based on
price, performance, service agreements and organization constraints.

·        Responsible for leading teams in performing architecture
initiatives from inception to conclusion.

·        Support proposal related activities to include leading,
developing, and writing Requests for Information and Request for Proposals

·        Ensures Solution Delivery Lifecycle documentation is completed to
a high standard and within required project lifecycle timeframes

·        Coordinate Proof of Concept (POC) activities. Document and
communicate the recommended solutions with supporting decision analysis
results from the POC.

·        Work with vendors on a regular basis to evaluate offerings and
influence the enhancement of currently used or future prospect products to
obtain the best user experience and infrastructure operation.


Qualifications

·        5+ years of experience with virtual application technologies, such
as XenApp, AppV, App Volumes and ThinApp.

·        Experience with PowerShell scripting.

·        Prior experience in multiple IT disciplines (Networking, Hardware,
and Windows Server OS).

·        Proven experience with network and server fundamentals.

·        Strong understanding of storage solutions such as EMC, NetApp,
SAN, NAS, Flash.

·        Extensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
(2008-2012).

·        Strong understanding of Windows Desktop operating systems (Windows
7, 8, 10).

·        Strong understanding of Group Policy Objects.

·        Strong understanding of Active Directory Services.

·        Strong focus on driving results and collaboration across diverse
teams.

·        Proven ability to work independently.

·        Strong troubleshooitng skills and ability to diagnose problems
across multiple disciplines.

·        Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and
written. Must be able to communicate effectively and build relationships
with individuals at all organizational levels and in multiple situations
and settings.

·        Practical experience in effective time management, including
ability to prioritize & multitask.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or
other related field (or has equivalent work experience).

·        *Citrix and/or VMWare Certification desired (CCE – V, CCP-V,
VCP5-DT, VCP6-DT, VCDX-DT).*
