Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Austin, TX Duration: 4 months Job Description: This position is responsible for detailed analysis and documentation of educational data, with a primary focus on prekindergarten and kindergarten data. Responsibilities include writing requirements, data definitions and business rules, data modeling, testing data, and developing and testing web reports. Analyst may be called upon to gather and document requirements for data loads, table creation, and reporting. Analyst may be responsible for developing, testing, and/or implementing formatted web reports. Reports will be designed and developed in an iterative development environment and created using the SAP Crystal Reports tool. This position requires technical ability, Texas public education data knowledge, skill in translating requirements and data into meaningful reports, and the ability to work under minimal supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Quality assurance testing and data analysis using SQL and/or SAS is required. The position requires experience eliciting and documenting business rules and requirements. Crystal Reports experience is preferred. Mandatory Requirements: 7 years of Experience gathering and documenting requirement specifications for projects and reports. 4 years of Skill in requirements gathering and technical documentation of data and data loading. 4 years of Skill with MS Office tools. 3 years of Skill in translating educational data into meaningful reports. 3 years of Experience in quality assurance testing and data analysis using SQL. Experience in quality assurance testing and data analysis using SAS. Report development experience. Knowledge of and experience with DB2 database.
