This resource will be responsible for handling UCS Domain Installation, UCS
hardware maintenance, Standalone Server Installation and Management, VMWare
experience with managing host clusters and SAN Boot experience would be
nice to have.
We are ideally looking for someone that has worked in a large scale
geographically dispersed UCS environment with 13 Domains and over 500
servers (B-Series and C-Series). This resource will not be required to do
scripting as they have another team to handle that.
*Day to day responsibilities:*
UCS Domain Installation
Configuration of the Fabric Interconnects
Knowledge of UCS Port Channeling
VLAN additions
Physical Installation and Integration of UCS devices in a
domain
LDAP for UCS and understanding of permissions
Service Profile and Template creation
Documentation of the installation
UCS hardware maintenance
Memory upgrades
Managing address pools
Firmware Upgrades for A, B, and C packages
Understanding of Service Now including monitoring of incident/task queues,
change management and scheduling for maintenance.
Troubleshooting connection issues within the UCS domain and external
connections
Work with and guide Enterprise Operation Center staff with 2nd level
support for UCS alerts
Standalone Server Installation and Management
Setup and configure CIMC for remote access
Configure RAID Controller and setup RAID arrays for OS
installation
CIMC Supervisor
VMWare experience with managing host clusters
SAN Boot experience is a nice to have
