They will use an automated software testing tool to develop test scripts to: Define and track requirements, Execute test requirement, Perform stress tests and Perform regression tests. The HP QC/ALM is quality management software testing tool, offered from the HP Software Division of Hewlett-Packard (HP), is the preferred software tool. HP Quality Center offers software quality assurance, including requirements management, test management and business process testing for IT and application environment. HP Quality Center is a component of the HP Application Lifecycle Management software solution set. While HP QC is the preferred automated testing software tool, Consultants with similar experience with other testing tools (ie IBM DOORS) should be recommended for consideration. General needs are indicated above. Specifically, the Consultants should have the following experience using automated software testing tool: Developing Test Plans, Scenarios and Scripts Hands on testing Maintaining Defect Detection & Tracking Developing Test Summary Reports Attend & Document Project Meeting Job Description: Test application software against the functionality of published technical specifications and user requirements. Analyze and document any software failures; interpret and clarify related functional issues not met by the software. Collects and analyzes data for evaluation and improvements, and integrate them to meet business requirements. Experience in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scripts and testing environments for complex software to assure consistency between the specifications and software. Excellent communication and technical writing skills in large corporate environments is also a requirement. The Consultant should be familiar with various automated software testing tool such as HP QC/ALM, IBM DOORS, etc. Developing Test Plans, Scenarios & Scripts Hands-On Testing Performance Testing User Acceptance Testing Stress Testing Regression Testing Other testing, such as Parallel testing or Pre-Production testing may also occur.
