Work Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting
enterprise level end to end systems with increasing responsibilities
• Must have extensive Network Appliance storage experience
• Must have experience with CommVault
• Some experience or exposure to
o EMC (Data Domain) and HP (3Par)
o Brocade or McData SAN switches
• Very strong communication and facilitation skills
• Veritas Foundation Suite and Veritas NetBackup experience
• Have experience as a high end UNIX user or administrator
• Knowledge and experience implementing and supporting
Information Lifecycle Management strategy
• Demonstrated Project management and system development life
cycle knowledge
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and
change with shifting business priorities
• Designing, documenting and writing deliverable plans for
Enterprise implementations, great communication and writing skills
• Experience in supporting a large client base either internal
(EIS infrastructure support and services) or external customer support
(product support and services)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor and tune storage infrastructure
• Working with storage vendors, to configure and optimize
storage hardware
• Manage storage and backup services that support UNIX and
windows servers including a large VMWare environment
• Capacity Management - Monitor and report on storage usage,
trends and capacity plan accordingly
• Ensure data protection and integrity
• Evaluate vendor proposals for purchases of hardware,
software, and technical services to assure adherence to technical
specifications
• Storage Lifecycle Management
• Establish and assure adherence to Service and Operating Level
Agreements
• Provide Storage Documentation to include Infrastructure
Architecture, Configuration and run Books
• Work closely with outside managed service provider to ensure
they are meeting SLA’s and high level of operations.
