Position : Project Manager Location : Austin, TX Duration : 14.5 Month Contract Job Description: This project is the computerized casework system all company programs use to record intakes and document investigations and all case actions. A current modernization project is underway to transform a 17-year-old system into a modern web application to enable company and external partners to enter and update case records more proficiently. This system is fundamental to the company caseworkers. A Worker is requested to perform Project Management responsibilities to lead specific program areas through key business requirements that have implications for the project system. Working under the direction of company IT Management, this Worker will perform project management activities related to changes to the casework system. This Worker will assist a designated company program area in creating requirements and approach for implementing certain components of project; first project may be Structured Decision Making (SDM), during the project modernization activities. The Worker may be assigned activities such as: (a) identification and prioritization of SDM requirements; (b) planning and scheduling of designated program's staff resources to support business process work, system design, and user testing of the changes (c) and working closely with the appropriate agency training and communications teams, and (d) close coordination with IT release management staff for scheduling and executing new changes. The Worker will work with designated IT project teams and program staff. The Worker may also work with specific program staff on National Council on Crime and Delinquency (NCCD) requirements and IT developers for appropriate design and specification to meet program needs; while also ensuring that project system requirements for modernization are not affected. The Worker may also work in concert with another ITSAC Worker, assigned to the particular program to which this worker will be assigned. Other Special Requirements: The Worker may be required to work outside the normal business hours as project circumstances create a need. Payment for over 40 hours of work per workweek will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through company. Mandatory Requirements: 8 years of Experience Project Management Life Cycle processes and documentation 8 years of Requirements analysis and/or system design. 8 years of Strong verbal and written skills with all levels of an organization including line staff up to Executive staff 8 years of Organizing and leading program areas through all phases of a project life cycle. 8 years of Skilled in change management and change readiness practices 8 years of Preparation of technical and functional requirements on single and across multiple projects; and/or multiple work streams on large projects. 8 years of Success at managing resources in a mixed functional and matrixed project environment 8 years of Skilled in managing competing interests from various project stakeholders and reaching consensus for appropriate next actions.
