*Role : SmartCo Java UI Developer* *Location : **Malvern, PA* *Duration: Long term* *Job description : * 1. SmartCo is a Java based application that runs on an Oracle Exadata 2. Since SmartCo DataHub is a 3rd party package, wherever possible we work within the confines of the application. Developers complete work from end to end (i.e. data, midtier, and UI). a. No PL/SQL development for Oracle b. No Java coding (SmartCo has a limited Java API for JUnits) c. UI Design is constrained by the application architecture 3. Object oriented concepts apply to SmartCo's scripting architecture which is similar to Java script (objects, inheritance etc) 4. SmartCo loads data from external data providers directly via adhoc FTP, and through DTS 5. SmartCo has an internal scheduler and integrates with Control-M job execution 6. SmartCo has file based imports and export capabilities in many formats (csv, xml etc) 7. SmartCo has JMS Publisher and Listener capabilities to send/receive data via MQ Secure 8. Our team is very interactive, collaborative and running at a very fast-paced. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where ideas are challenged and developers work collaboratively to come up with the best long term solution. 9. The candidate should be "data focused" and interested in Investment Management business concepts and willing to learn if no previous experience (CUSIP, SEDOL, Corporate Actions, BBG and Index data etc) 10.
