IBM Cognos Developer Austin, TX 4 Months Job Description: Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) program contracts with community-based programs and agencies to provide a variety of services that help prevent abuse, neglect, delinquency, and truancy of Texas children. The company web application that supports PEI was built in 2000. Its current architecture is now unsupported. Company is replacing the legacy PEI system to support today's PEI programs and integrate with the greater PEI community of tomorrow. The company project team will be comprised of several internal and ITSAC workers including data converters and report developer. This solicitation is seeking one worker to serve as a business intelligence developer who has a strong background in Cognos 10.2, and Informatica 9.6 or above; who has also worked with Oracle and Data Warehouse technology. The worker should also have extensive experience in the following: working with business customers to gather requirements for report development designing and developing advanced level reports and KPI dashboards using IBM Cognos BI Report Studio modeling using IBM Cognos Framework Manager to support dashboards, reports and ad-hoc reporting assisting with the development of Informatica mappings, workflows, and transformations completing end to end testing from source system to report sound SQL knowledge and knowledge of Oracle database adhering to software development processes preparing detailed documentation generate work estimates in an SDLC environment. Mandatory Requirements: 8 years of Experience in querying and analyzing data sources to understand the data and determine logic for reporting. 8 years of Experience conducting design sessions with subject matter experts and business process owners to meet reporting requirements. 8 years of Experience with Microsoft Suite (Projects, Visio, Excel, Word, Power Point) 4 years of Experience with Cognos 8.0 or higher version. 4 years of Experience using IBM Cognos BI Report Studio 4 years of Experience modeling using IBM Cognos Framework Manager 4 years of Experience with Informatica PowerCenter 8.1 or higher version. 4 years of Experience in designing, creating, and overseeing ETL's for a large Data Warehouse project. 4 years of Experience with data modeling techniques and tools for data warehouse projects 4 years of Experience writing and reviewing detailed test scripts for System, Integration, and User Acceptance Test Phases. 2 years of Experience teaming up with business owners and technical staff in complex, large scale data warehouse projects Teamwork skills, ability to lead collaboration with other functional and technical staff on the project.
