We use, IBM DS Storage, which includes n-series ( ibm, Netapp branded) TCP
and SVC for management of that storage, Brocade fabric switches, Tivoli
Space management, Net Backup from Symantec,



We are a IBM hardware shop so experience in that area would be great.



Expectation of a canadate:

Position Purpose:

 The Enterprise Storage Administrator performs administration and provides
operational support, installation, configuration, and reliability of the
corporate Storage Area Networks, Network Attached Storage, spinning disk
subsystems, and ensures data protection through redundancy, backup/recovery
and data replication.



Job Description:

Consulting / Technology Evaluation

Consults with customers to help determine storage requirements and
implementation decisions for small, medium and large projects. Regularly
trains other IT staff in their area of responsibility. Represents the
Enterprise Storage team to customers of systems that span the entire
enterprise. Regularly participates at technology conferences or user group
events. Ensures proposed solution's consistency with enterprise
architecture. Proactively evaluates and makes recommendations on applying
new technology standards and options adopted by the team to their area of
expertise and responsibility.

Technical

techniques in the field plus working knowledge of related disciplines.

Expert understanding of storage, backup and recovery, capacity planning,
performance tuning, and scalability in area of expertise.

Communication

Proactively communicates technical and non-technical information to
leadership, contributing to the success and engagement of customers and the
team. Translates technology related issues into easily understandable
business terms for customers.

Minimum

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

4+ years experience in Storage Area Networks, Enterprise Backup Systems,

4+ or

6 years experience in related field.
