Requirement: Senior Business Analyst w/ Requirements Tool (Blueprint) Experience This position has the primary responsibility to elicit and document new or refine and revise existing business functional, systems and/or technical requirements for the implementation and support of day-to-day projects for the Requirements Center of Excellence (RCoE). The Business Analyst for the RCoE team will focus on the support of existing core RCoE system tools and activities, including Blueprint, HP ALM and Requirement Quality Score (RQS) assessments. Through a series of planned internal projects scheduled throughout the year, the Business Analyst will evaluate business needs, provide solution support and understand current business process as they impact RCoE existing processes and tools. The Business Analyst will work on DTD internal enhancements and software upgrades as needed within the RCoE environment in preparation of launching a new Requirements tool into production and other duties as required. Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities: Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and task/workflow analysis. Skills and Knowledge Prior experience configuring, testing and training end users on Blueprint 6.1 or higher required. Interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information. Use Case experience. The ability to document Use Cases, show prior experience documenting Use Cases and the ability to teach others the fundamentals of Use Cases is strongly preferred. Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say. Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements. Facilitation skills, to lead requirements elicitation workshops. Observational skills, to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation. Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to internal and external customers. Technical writing skills to translate business requirements into specifications for testing and development. Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, project management, senior team, testers) Modeling skills, to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language. Adaptive skills, to demonstrate capability to execute at a high-level in a dynamically changing environment. An understanding of how to practice requirements engineering according to several software development life cycles in a team environment.
