This individual will lead UX efforts for a product domain area and will have experience planning and executing on UX strategy. He/she will skillfully facilitate stakeholder communications and have strong conceptual problem-solving skills. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong handle on IXD & UI/UX research best practices and lean methodologies. *A day in the life…* - Own UX/UI design responsibilities for a product domain and manage the work efforts of the UX team members on that program - Collaborate with project contributors, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to create user-focused concepts and interactive solutions for web-based interfaces - Develop detailed deliverables and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate UX designs and product requirements - Test and validate conceptual design and iterate them with clients and proto-personas - Maintain expert-level knowledge of competitive products and experiences - Effectively communicate concepts with authority and conviction - Research and resolve issues using appropriate resources *You are expected to:* - challenge the norm, yet deliver commitments on time - know how to pick your battles - see the relationship between individual design implications and the impact on the total user experience - have the drive and passion to bring a product to market, considering the end-to-end user experience - stay up-to-date with current web development technologies *Qualifications* You own this if you have... - MS Degree in either IxD, Information Architecture or HCI preferred - 5-7 years of solid work experience with job roles such as Sr. UX/UI Designer or UX Architect - Web application design (Not websites) experience is a must - 3+ years of advanced prototyping experience with Axure or equal is a must - Knowledge of leading best practices and design patterns is a must - Proven ability to collaborate with remote teams is a must - Experience developing and executing on a UX/UI research roadmap - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively - Clear and effective written, visual and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills, and proven track record of presenting to and influencing stakeholders and senior management - Must be able to review a portfolio of work – highlighting individual contribution Web Technologies: XML, JSON, SOAP and RESTful web services, Smarty · ⎯ Front End: jQuery, OO Javascript, HTML5, CSS3 · ⎯ Framework : MVC Framework like Zend or Struts/Spring · ⎯ Database: RDBMS like MySQL, Oracle · ⎯ Tools: SVN, Eclipse · ⎯ Others: Unix shell scripting ⎯ Experience working on large scale, high traffic web - Experience building asynchronous one page web applications using Ajax, CORS.
