Please find the below requirement with our client in CA Title : Capacity Engineer Location : Santa Clara CA Duration : 12 Months *Roles and Responsibilities * - Manage the complete infrastructure lifecycle to maximize the return on hardware investments including new capacity delivery, proactive customer migrations, legacy hardware resale/recycle and asset management across our global fleet. - Manage current and future support contracts to ensure support across hardware useful life. - Work in conjunction with datacenter operations and engineering to align hardware lifecycle with data center capacity roadmap. - Work with development teams to define requirements for automations and implement automations for hardware lifecycle activities. *In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:* - A minimum of 6 years of experience with hardware stack including application servers, database servers and network devices (switches, routers, etc). - Experience with relational databases like MySQL and experience with Linux servers; CentOS preferred. Also requires good understanding of database replication and high availability configurations. - Fluent with networking technologies including DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, DHCP, load balancing and have experience building highly scalable systems. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects successfully. - Bachelor or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or Computer Science (CS) or related field. Masters preferred. - ITIL certifications and experience preferred.
