Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other Information Technology major, or equivalent work experience. Required Tasks to Be Performed Writing, translating and coding software programs and applications according to specifications Provide maintenance, enhancement and support for a variety of the Agency’s PHP applications Assisting in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications Research and document requirements of program users Assisting in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines Working with network administrators, systems analysts and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems Providing mentoring and guidance to junior programmers Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) 4+ years’ experience developing PHP applications 3+ years’ leveraging MVC frameworks, preferably CodeIgniter 3+ years’ experience in web development leveraging XML, HTML and CSS 3+ years’ experience with databases with Oracle databases (including both DML and DDL) Experience writing Javascript or utilizing a Javascript framework (like JQuery) Experience using code repositories, preferably GitLab Experience using continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins Knowledge of object oriented design methodologies Knowledge of Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM) Knowledge of database security, including role-based security Knowledge and experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) Ability to be creative, to use sound judgment, and to display foresight to identify potential problems and design/specifications and assigned application software systems Think critically to solve complex, multi-dimensional problems within time constraints Possess excellent analysis, research and troubleshooting skills Collaborate within cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts among members Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Ability to work independently Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Work well under pressure and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality Research emerging technologies and leverage them where appropriate Stay up to date on industry trends via user groups, articles, books, etc. Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) – Experience working using the Scrum (Agile) software development framework – Experience developing web services (preferably RESTful web services) *Please send resume to [email protected] <[email protected]> * *Thanks, Sam CNC Consulting, Inc. 201-546-3096 [email protected] <[email protected]>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
