Job Title: Oracle EBS Developer
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 4+ Months

Position Description/Responsibilities:
Computer Aid, Inc (CAI), an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking an
Oracle EBS Advanced Benefits SME to assist a Public Sector client. The work
location is conveniently located downtown Chicago.

Under direction, provides functional and technical expertise and high-level
support for  the Oracle Advanced Benefits module (OAB) and system
configurations, including leading/supporting open enrollment projects.
Develops specialized and unique custom reports to support benefits
administration and various projects with the Authority. Identifies end user
agreements and project requirements to provide necessary training for staff
to complete departmental assignments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Works closely with Benefit Services managers and coordinators providing
a timely and functional system for the Benefits module. Manages the
configuration of OAB applications for business specific requirements.
Resolves complex user questions, system issues, data errors, and data
correction requests.
2. Maintains Human Resources (HR) functional system set-ups for OAB/Payroll
as related to Benefits. Evaluates requested system changes and impact of
changes and manages the testing and implementation of annual patches and
enhancements as related to Benefits.
3. Assists in resolution of issues:
Logs issues and their resolution in a problem tracking system.
Troubleshoots end-user issues to identify root cause as end-user or system
error.
Coordinates with appropriate personnel or technical support for issue
resolution.
4. Partners with process owners and other stakeholders to document business
processes, manages change documentation and work instructions, and
documents issue resolutions.
5. Provide HRIS reporting support for end users, focused on delivering
functional reporting requirements, report testing, and report delivery.
6. Schedules, facilities and/or participates in meetings related to
supported business solutions. Acts as a liaison with other departments such
as IT and Payroll as it related to HR OAB.
7. Performs functional quality assurance (QA) testing for assigned modules
and assist/coordinate user acceptance (UA) testing. May be required to
perform UA testing for system maintenance, enhancement, and upgrades.
8. Performs related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements/Technical Skills:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human
Resources, or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience utilizing
an HRIS system, preferably with Oracle HRMS Applications such as
iRecruitment, OAB, and Self Service applications, Oracle Reports, Oracle
MEtalink, Oracle Forms6i, TOAD, and Workflow builder, or an equivalent
combination of educations and experience related to this position.
Experience with query/reporting tools including TOAD using SQL plus, SQL,
and full cycle R12 upgrade and/or implementation is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficient with Oracle Advanced Benefits (OAB) and possess experience with
Open Enrollment projects
Detailed knowledge of Oracle HRMS table structures and relationships.
Detailed knowledge of MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, Power
Point) Visio, and MS Project.
Detailed knowledge of Oracle Technical Reference Manuals (TRM).
Detailed knowledge of query/reporting tools: SQL, TOAD, and Oracle Reports.
Detailed knowledge of the capabilities and formats of HRIS systems.
Working knowledge of the principles and practices of business user
applications.
Working knowledge of the principles and practices in data entry and system
controls.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to evaluate user needs and formulate sound conclusions.
Ability to verify data and evaluate new computer applications and programs.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve inquiries to analyze data from system.
