Role: Project Manager Location: Harrisburg, PA Duration: 10 Months Tasks: Project management standards 1. The project portfolio managers will maintain the project management methodology for the Department of State 2. The project portfolio managers will ensure that each project is run by the standards and procedures established in the Department of States’ project management methodology Project financial management 1. The project portfolio managers will assist program areas in creating a five year cost analysis for any proposed IT services, including project and operation related expenses 2. The project portfolio managers will assist the program areas in preparing the yearly budgets for all IT services 3. The project portfolio managers will make recommendations to the CIO for costs savings on projects and IT services Project pipeline management 1. The project portfolio managers will assist the program areas in completing the service strategies for all proposed IT services 2. The project portfolio managers will present a proposed project pipeline to the CIO and product owners each quarter Risk management 1. The project portfolio managers will create a risk assessment for each proposed IT service 2. The project portfolio managers will maintain a risk assessment on all active projects, reporting this to the CIO and the product owner weekly Change management 1. The project portfolio managers will handle the change management process for Sprints Resource management 1. The project portfolio managers will coordinate with the BMIS Administrative Assistant for the addition or reduction of staff needed for projects 2. The project portfolio managers will assist the project managers with allocating general BMIS resources to address project needs Project management 1.
