This is achieved by configuring, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software, hardware, and associated operating systems. The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. *Position Requirements* *Formal Education & Certification* University degree in computer science or software engineering and/or 5 years equivalent work experience. Certifications a plus. *Knowledge & Experience* Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of hardware, software systems, applications, and related products. Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices. Working technical knowledge of current software protocols, and Internet standards. Extensive experience with *core software applications, including Citrix, VMware, Exchange, Active Directory, Symantec, etc.* Extensive experience with management of storage *such as EMC and NetApp.* *Excellent software troubleshooting experience.* Extensive application support experience. Working technical knowledge of basic programming languages. Working *knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows and/or Linux.* Competence with testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures. Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
