Requirement:
Role and Responsibilities
· Maintain, modify, and create database structures.
· Install SQL Server 2000 to 2008 servers.
· Participate in 24 x 7 on-call responsibilities.
· Analyze database performance statistics and performs required
tuning activities.
· Responsible for backups, recovery and disaster recovery planning.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Four year college degree and 4 or more years professional SQL DBA
experience OR 6 or more years of professional SQL DBA experience is
required.
· Experience Maintaining a High Availability/High Volume MS SQL
Server Implementation
· DBA production support experience with SQL Server 2000, 2005 and
2008.
Preferred Skills
· Experience in working with transactional replication, log shipping
and clustered SQL instances
· Should have working knowledge of data transfer methodologies
like SSIS and DTS.
· Experience in performance tuning and supporting application
debugging. Should be good at debugging complex stored procedures and other
SQL code.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate and perform with
little or no supervision and strong attention to detail.
