Job Title : *VMware** System Administrator-* Duration : 6 mths, extendible Location : Jacksonville, FL Rate : Open * * *Description:* Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, access, and backup for enterprise wide systems. Technologies supported include operating systems, servers, networks, system security, hardware and other software applications. Troubleshoot system issues, resolve or recommend solutions. Create and manage system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures. Create patches and updates as needed. Participate in the definition and implementation of system components including new servers, hardware, software and upgrades. Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot operating systems. Must possess solid knowledge of operating systems and networking hardware and software. 3-5 years of experience functioning in a Systems Administrator capacity is required. *Job Summary: * At least 3 years of experience administering VMware virtual server host systems administration and support in a large scale, highly available 24/7 environment. Oncall support and disaster recovery planning and support is required. Proficient knowledge of midtier storage administration (SAN) and knowledge of Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Server OS, networking TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, and DHCP is desired. Experience in supporting large scale disaster recovery process is also required. Some project mgmt experience is also beneficial. Applicant must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and work well in a team environment.
