*Job Title: Software Development Test Engineer *
*Location: Seattle, WA*
*Duration: 12 Months*

There are three (3) core areas of the project that require extensive
testing, including:

•             Configuration - Configuration testing requires the testing of
workflows, business rules, reports, and document templates.

•             Interfaces - The testing of the interfaces will require
testing multiple interface approaches. The interface approaches used will
vary for each interface but may include web services, file transfer, and/or
BizTalk 2013.

•             Data Conversion and Migration – the four (4) databases that
are being converted and migrated are:
o             JIS – the database from AOC that contains person, case, and
financial records
o             CRIMS - a FoxPro application that is used to do Exhibit
tracking
o             Audit Central – contains audit data, such as case audit
status, audit notes and notice/order tracking
o             Core ECR - stores metadata of documents, such as case info,
document name, page count, dates, etc

Services provided will fall into the following areas:
•             Provide expertise and build testing frameworks and automation
strategies
•             Write automated test plans, test scripts, and related
documentation (such as training materials, instructions, and commented code)
•             Design and develop both automated functional and performance
test cases, running test scripts and analyzing results, gathering relevant
performance counter data
•             Create, maintain (script error debugging) and enhance
automated test tools
•             Optimize and automate build, deploy and test processes to
increase project team efficiency
•             Create, maintain and enhance load, performance, and test
tools
•             Execute automation test strategy that promotes the best
automation approach
•             Develop toolset to enhance manual test efforts
•             Report test results and verify bug fixes
•             Identify risks from automated testing and communicate to the
Project Manager, Technical Lead, and Test Lead
•             Provide documentation and training to DJA staff to support
ongoing use and maintenance of the toolset, test scripts and test code

The Software Development Engineer of Test (SDET) team proposed will meet
the following qualifications:
•             4+  years of Quality Assurance and Testing experience using
automated tools
•             Strong development (SDE or SDE/T) background on large
projects on collaborative teams
•             Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance methodology
•             Familiarity with software testing concepts: regression
testing, negative testing, White Box v. Black Box, functional v.
non-functional testing, defect reporting standards, reproducibility of
results
•             Solid experience in functional, performance, security and
regression testing
•             Experience testing data conversions and interfaces using
automated tools
•             Hands on-experience testing enterprise applications, reports,
and databases
•             Experience with source to target mappings and business rules
•             Understanding of ETL processes and the transformation logic
required
•             Intermediate SQL skills
•             Results-driven, process-oriented, self-starter that can
successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously
•             Experience writing test plans and test cases from functional
specifications, UX and design documents
•             Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and
small group situations throughout the organization
•             Outstanding attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting
skills
•             Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage
multiple assignments simultaneously
•             Good organizational and communication skills, with the
ability to document and present technical concepts, procedures, and
processes
•             Team members should have a Bachelor's degree in Information
Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
