·           Computer science background. Masters of engineering in computer
science, or information science.

·           Can teach the drug safety space but not the technical part.

·           He completed degree and MS and background of computer
science/engineering. Has done some business intelligence reports.

·           Does not want dictionary coding

·           (business object, cognos, business intelligence, reporting
background – oracle based business enterprise division (OBIE), tabloid
(reporting tool)

*Top Three Skills*:
excel, macros, data reconciliation

§ Must have good experience and skills in MS Office specially in Microsoft
Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Macros, creating Metrics using the excel charts,
§ Under the direction of immediate manager, provides troubleshooting and
support for reconciliations.
§ Execution and QC of Reconciliation requests with daily deadlines.
§ Able to catalog all existing current requests received by the Data
Retrieval Team
§ Manage the receipt of requests and following up to clarify any missing
essential data fields missing from the form with the requestor
§ Acknowledge receipt to all requesters and where required, provide updates
on the status of their job.
§ Able to work with the Systems management team to assign/re-assign work,
prioritize the workload and manage new requests based on team availability
and workload
§ Assign and track target completion dates and flag late reports to Systems
management team
§ Prepare reports/metrics of workload and activities for Systems management
§ Follows pre-defined task lists with given development tool, but not
limited to
§ Recording and distributing team meeting minutes.
§ Complies with new regulatory requirements in area of responsibility
§ Seeks assistance from appropriate internal and external resources in the
area of responsibility
§ Highlights areas of concern to senior staff or manager
§ Organizes, prioritizes, and coordinates multiple work activities to meet
project deadlines. Establishes work priorities and direction with input
from manager
§ Provides regular updates to manager
§ Able to maintain confidentiality (especially on patient records), with
good attention to detail and a concern for accuracy and quality
§ Good communication skills
§ Able to work as a member of a cross functional team
§ Actively participates in Team meetings and shares information on projects
and challenges openly
§ May assist with creating and maintain templates, prepare/maintain
training documents.
§ Maintains compliance with DSPH and applicable SOPs and work instructions.

*Work Environment*:
•RD Informatics Associate
•Their team is doing data retrieval using COGNOS and working in Argus
- Wants someone who doesn’t know much on drug safety, but someone who
understands clinical data as they will be working with drug safety data
(for individual case clinical data)
- Will be doing reconciliation as they pull from the drug safety AND
clinical CDM and merge it into multiple requests – will be managing
incoming requests and plan to work on it
-Then it goes to clinical data management and operations
•They are basically reconciliation from CDM and Argus to make sure they are
the same. They have a Macro template that they plug the data in and they
run this automatically, Will be trained on this.
