*Duration: 12-24 MONTHS* *Columbus, OH - Local candidates Prefered.* *Rate: $40-$42/Hr MAX* *Visa: Any* *Interview: Skype/Phone* *Position Title:** QA Tester* *Required Skills:* 6+ years of experience acting as a QA Tester 4+ years of experience testing the back-end of applications Experience with *JMeter and SoapUI is absolutely required* Experience with automated testing best practices Experience testing API’s Integration testing experience Experience pulling and testing data coming from a data mart (performing database queries & creating SQL statements) Experience working closely with development teams to write test cases Experience identifying and following up on bugs Prior experience in an Agile/Scrum environment Must have solid testing fundamentals and a passion for QA Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills *Desired Skills: * Exposure to *Ruby/Cucumber on the front-end is highly preferred* Automated testing experience is desired Experience pulling data from an Oracle database A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study *Description of Role/Responsibilities: * We are looking for a well-rounded QA Tester to join a long-term project in Columbus, Ohio. Ideal candidates will have heavy back-end/database testing experience and some exposure to GUI layer of applications. Responsibilities will include: working with development teams to write test cases, testing API’s, running database queries and identifying bugs within the code. This person will be a member of an Scrum team and have the opportunity to explore and experiment with new testing concepts.
