Title: Senior Voice Engineer Duration: 6+ months Contract to Hire Location: Irvine, CA US Citizens, GC Holders and GC-EAD candidates only 10% Bonus (based on performance) Certification requirement: · CCNP Voice- Cisco Certified Network Professional Voice (CCIE Voice Preferred) · CCNP Network (preferred) if not CCNA Network required Responsibilities: · Configures, tests, deploys, and maintains/upgrades unified communications/telephony systems. · Performs adds/moves/changes and performs preventative maintenance on telephony systems. · Proactively monitors and resolves potential service interruptions. · Create SOP’s and Knowledge Base Articles for supported systems. · Create and maintain end-user training materials and documentation. · Design and implementation of telephony systems and changes throughout the organization. · Project Manages and owns the success or failure of the implementation of telephony systems. · Maintains telephone records and procedures and is the responsible owner for such information/documentation. · Plans for and designs systems for future growth. · Perform software upgrades on existing Cisco voice deployments · Conduct implementations, conversions, and upgrades in a manner consistent with Standard Operating Procedures within company maintenance windows; including change management procedures. · Performs after-hours Voice infrastructure installation, and maintenance as required. · Regular and consistent onsite attendance. Required: - Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the Voice Communications field. - Thorough understanding of Cisco Unified Communications, including Call Manger, Unity Connection, Unified Presence, Emergency Responder, Jabber, WebEx, and Telepresence systems and endpoints. - Ability to support all Unified Communications components including troubleshooting, configuration, optimization and design of a multi-cluster environment. - UCCX Scripting - Solid data networking skills such as routing and switching with an emphasis on important voice concepts such as SIP, H.323, MGCP, VG350 and QOS - Familiarity with high-availability design (failover systems and data replication) - Experience with Cisco RTMT and Solar Winds monitoring. - Experience with LAN & WAN design, implementation, and management best practices.
