Job Title: Java Architect Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 6 months The Department of Environment Quality is seeking a short term (estimated 6 months) contractor to work with the Division of Information Technology Services division to assist with the maintenance and development of Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) applications. This position will be a senior Java developer responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing, and documenting JEE projects within DEQ’s central JEE application development environment and framework. The successful candidate should be familiar with all aspects of JEE development including data, business logic, and presentation tier skills. KSA Requirements: Significant experience (3-5 years) in J2EE development projects. experience with the following technologies: Struts or JSF JEE application frameworks, JSP/Tiles, Spring framework, tag libraries, iBatis, and SQL Experience with Tomcat configuration including running multiple versions of Tomcat and Java Experience with Oracle database technology Able to work independently to achieve outcomes in an expedient and professional manner Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Prefer knowledge of systems for contracting and contract closeout Prefer knowledge of water quality best management practices Experience with the following technologies: Struts or JSF JEE application frameworks, JSP/Tiles, Spring framework, tag libraries, iBatis, and SQL Required5Years Significant experience (3-5 years) in J2EE development projects.
