There are concerns surrounding the constant disconnects around F5 capabilities and that the current way to remote into L&I PCs is slow and cumbersome. These concerns have been mitigated by changing the policies but it is not proven that this is the best way to deploy the solution. There is a current application, Mobile Inspections, build on the Delphi platform that suffers slow upload and download speeds and constantly locks up. It is believed that the application is to blame (and it is being rewritten and deployed) but there are concerns that the network isn’t sufficient to handle the load. As part of the technology plan moving forward, L&I would like to evaluate and determine whether the correct solutions have been deployed to the agency and whether the network is sufficient to support future endeavors. Scope of Work IV&V Services are being sought to assist the organization to ensure that the best network solutions have been deployed to support the L&I community. The selected IV&V vendor will analyze and contribute expert advice on deliverables for this effort. Mandatory Skills and Experience EXPERT - MANDATORY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -8 years or more in the following: A minimum of five (5) years of experience providing IV&V services for large-scale ($10M+) projects. A minimum of three (3) years of experience evaluating network designs consisting of Cellular, LAN and WAN best practices. A minimum of three (3) years implementing and troubleshooting user/device authentication credentials including AD and certificate credentials. A minimum of five (5) years of experience with remote access connectivity through the use of VPNs. A minimum of five (5) years of experience with the challenges of cellular connectivity in diverse geographic locations. EXPERT - PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -8 years or more in the following: Significant experience with industry-standard and best practices regarding quality, quality assurance and quality control principles and techniques. 3 years’ minimum experience with mobile application design and development methodologies. Experience evaluating compliance with security and audit requirements as covered in OCIO 141. Experience evaluating operational support models for distributed applications. Experience consulting with executive levels and providing executive briefings.
