Job Title: Linux Admin Location: Denver, CO Duration: 5 months In person interview Get 1 reference This role is responsible for the administration and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux for the Unemployment Insurance Modernization project. This includes coordination with the agency customer, CDLE, the vendor, InnoWake, as well as the various stakeholder groups within OIT. There are currently six defined environments to be supported; three each for the CATS and CUBS systems. These are DEV, TEST, and Production. This position will take functional guidance from the SDPM. This position is responsible for managing and leading the successful deployment and operation of the environments needed to complete this project. General Responsibilities include: Responsibilities Supporting the RHEL infrastructure that includes Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, Oracle 12c, et al, in multiple environment (DEV, TEST, PROD) system. Supporting access control for the above environments. Configuring and deploying for development teams in a fast paced, DevOps style approach. Migrating from kernel 2.6 to at least 3.1- working with cgroups, lxc and other container technology a big plus. Working closely with the Solutions Architect to ensure architectural compliance of the deployed environments. Working with the Vendor to troubleshoot any issues that occur. Performing system hardening and/or compliance enforcement via published controls a huge plus.
