DHS provides health care services to approximately 862,000 Minnesotans through a combination of federal and state health care programs, including Minnesota’s Medicaid program, Medical Assistance (MA), and MinnesotaCare (a subsidized health care program for people who live in Minnesota and do not have access to health insurance). These combined health care programs are jointly referred to as Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP). Federal provider screening regulations require all health care providers who enroll in federal health care programs, including Medicaid, to undergo a "Risk-Based Provider Screening" process. Enrolled providers must be "revalidated" at least once every five years and must also go through the same "Risk-Based Provider Screening" process as new enrollees. On the back end, the application will interface with the existing IBM mainframe COBOL/VSAM environment where—using MQSeries—the data will travel back and forth in order to maintain duplicate copies of the data. COBOL Development processes and procedures will be available to: Develop and maintain messages Develop and maintain edits Mandatory Qualifications: ? B.S. or B.A. degree (4 year) with 4 years’ experience as a COBOL Developer/Programmer OR Associates degree (2 year) with 6 years’ experience as a COBOL Developer/Programmer OR 8 years’ experience as a COBOL Developer/Programmer. One (1) engagement lasting 18 months or more in a COBOL Developer/Programmer role.
