QA Analyst Rochester NY 3-6 months (potential extension) *NO H1B* **Must have* *Team Foundation Server* *Microsoft Test Manager* *Heavy Automation experience* *.NET enviornment* Qualification requirements: The Software Tester provides software quality assurance services for projects and systems. Performs and documents product validation for new and/or modified applications. Investigates software and process problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel while maintaining quality records and metrics status reports. The Software Tester must be able to devise and apply quality controls for in-house and vended products. Maintain test library and scripts in test management tools. Knows and applies fundamental testing concepts. Other qualifications include ability to cross-analyze software development documentation (business requirements, function specification, design specification) to ascertain system functionality / features. Experienced with coordinating project testing; with software development lifecycles as they relate to product verification and validation; and in analyzing and advising on software development documentation techniques. The candidates will be responsible for executing software quality assurance activities 2 separate teams. These responsibilities include working closely with the development team and stakeholders to ascertain requirements, and creating and executing test plans and test cases. The candidate will be responsible for documenting and entering bugs into Team Foundation Server (TFS). The candidates will be doing functional and regression testing and be expected to assist with automated testing and load testing. Candidate must have experience with automated testing, load testing and the use of Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager. Must have experience creating and executing test plans, testing web-based applications, and Agile development methodology. Must be able to work with and communicate effectively with various roles on the project team. Must have experience testing web-based applications and APIs. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including C# and MVC and SQL Server desired. The candidates must have at least 5 years experience with software testing and demonstrated excellence in that role.
