Position Title: Axiom / ETL Consultant Location: Cincinnati, OH 45202 Duration: 6-12 months GENERAL FUNCTION: As part of the ETL Development discipline, develops cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing data processing jobs. Coordinates with users and internal IT teams to determine requirements and functional details. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex ETL and SQL logic. May coordinate activities of the project team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs. Functions as technical lead and acts as liaison between IT groups. Provides training and direction to team members. May be involved in 24x7 production support. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: · Responsible for the documentation and maintenance of new and existing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes within the Enterprise Data Warehouse. · Maintain and enhance SQL and Mainframe JCL Batch code, working with the QA and DBA team to fix performance issues as required · Serve as a Tech Lead on multiple, large integration and data publishing projects or as a project lead on smaller projects, ensuring consistent design and efficient data processing. · Lead the Build, Test, and Implementation phases of assigned projects, with a diverse development team spread across multiple locations and time zones. · Design, develop, maintain, monitor, and execute production ETL processes (JCL Batch jobs executing SQL) running against an IBM DB2 z/OS database. · Investigate production ETL issues and work to determine the root cause of problems. · Perform process improvement and re-engineering with an understanding of technical data problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment. · Design and develop innovative data solutions for demanding business situations · Analyze complex distributed production deployments, and make recommendations to optimize performance · Participates in 24x7 production support rotation. · Other duties as required. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED: · Experience developing, testing, and configuring reports in Axiom- preferred. · Certified with Axiom - preferred, or willing to be trained prior to joining Fifth Third. · Experience working with onshore and offshore resources- required · Datastage or ETL experience- preferred · Must be onsite in Cincinnati. · Must show a clear understanding of basic project methodology · On-Shore/off-shore experience · Regulatory Reporting experience · Undergraduate degree in computer-related field. · 6-8 years of related experience.
