*Need DB2 DBA Consultant, Need EAD-GC,GC And USC And Local Consultants* Position:DB2 DBA Consultant Location:Detroit, MI Duration:6 Months RESPONSIBILITIES: With general guidance and coaching, the individual should be able to maintain and support physical databases on DB2 and IMS databases on z/OS. Designs and develops backup, recovery, archiving and conversion strategies. Utilizes logical model to ensure efficient and reliable database performance. Manages and maintains data in all production and non-production databases. Adheres to administrative policies and procedures, priorities and methodologies. Performs backup and restoration of data. Assists with the installation, upgrade and testing of database software Creating and maintaining DB2 databases Creating and maintaining IMS databases Maintains database administration standards and procedures Assists programmers in application implementation and problem resolution Migrates new / modified databases to production, and quality assurance (QA) environments Assists programmers with complex queries and has the ability to tune queries to optimize performance Provides assistance with the usage of database utilities or other related development tools Top 3 Required Skills/Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a DB2 DBA At least 5 years of experience as a IMS DBA Five years relational database technology expertise with significant experience in identifying and resolving SQL performance issues through tuning Required Skills/Experience: Experience with DB2 database utilities Experience with DB2 database tools Experience with IMS database utilities Experience with IMS database tools Knowledge of computer languages, specifically SQL, PL/SQL, JCL, COBOL Service oriented and able to share technical knowledge with others Responds to requests for assistance, with some requests requiring formal responses Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience supporting Database Recovery Control (DBRC) Education/Certifications Bachelor’s degree with five years of experience or associates degree in Computer Science or related field preferred Regards Alvin Stuart Recruiter Direct:609-423-4045 [email protected] Hangout:[email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
