Clustered and Non-clustered environment
High Availability experience
Peoplesoft Support experience- Ideal would be 9.0 or 9.1 Ideal on the
HCM/Financial side.

Oracle DBA Job Requirements:
This contract position will be part of the team providing DBA support of
enterprise databases. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) routine
database support tasks such as backup and recovery, security implementation,
script automation, DB performance analysis, and production support. In
addition, qualified candidate will provide Oracle DBA database support for
the upgrade of Peoplesoft Finance application Release to 9.1 FMS modules.
To qualify, a minimum 5 years of Oracle DBA hands-on experience, preferably
in Linux & HP environments is necessary. Specifics of
requisite skills and responsibilities are as follows:
In-depth knowledge of Oracle 11G, 10G & 9i, including all aspects of high
availability (clustering & fail-over), data replication, backup and recovery.

Database performance and query tuning expertise. SQL Performance Analyzer
(SPA) experience is a plus. Establish guidelines and assist in tuning of
application code as necessary.
Solid scripting experience for task automation is necessary. The candidate
will need to automate routine tasks such as backups, refreshes and
monitoring.
Implement/automate database snapshot/backup and recovery techniques in
Oracle release 11G.
Implement database security/audit recommendations.
Migrate database environments from release 9i/10g to 11g.
Installation & upgrades of RDBMS in clustered and non-clustered
environments.
Peoplesoft 9.0/9.1 support experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and should be able
to follow standards and procedures, change control
methodologies as well as document new procedures and protocols.
Must work well in a team environment and be able to take directions from
other team members as well as work independently.
Must have good written/oral communication skills.
