The pay rate we can offer is $30/hr. Role: Programming Analyst Client is currently seeking a Programming Analyst for a 3+ Month project opportunity with our client in El Dorado Hills, CA. Candidate’s responsibilities will include reporting and analysis. The resource will be writing queries to get into the backend systems (Transactional Database) and map back the data fields. In addition, they will determine which data points to go after and map back. There is also the need to create an easier reporting feature and may require this person to implement a front end reporting system. There will also be some analytic work involved. Required Skills: - Languages: *SQL; *HTML; ASP; *VB Script, *Visual Basic/VBA - Strong SQL query experience - Able to do metrics and compliance reporting - Create operational reports from facets - Develop DTS/IIS packages to capture data from transactional database - Intermediate to advanced use of Excel and Word (including VBA) Responsibilities: - Understand table normalization and schema design, form & report layout, queries (union, pass-through queries), macros. - Create Operation Reports for traceability, metrics and statistical data using Business Objects, Crystal Report and SQL Server Reporting Services. - Has SQL Server DBA experience in building and maintaining security layers and database schemas. - Knowledge in building dynamic business letters with HTML in a web browser control. - Build and maintain a security layer with control locking based on user security level in MS Access/SQL Server. - Ability to diagnose and solve complex problems. - Able to communicate with both internal and external customers. - Creates, supports, and administers relational databases. - Evaluates and designs existing or proposed systems to structure and access databases. - Analyzes database requirements for the user department, applications programming and operations. - Recommends solutions that require definition of the physical structure and functional capabilities of databases and required data security and data backup/recovery specifications. - Is able to function independently with minimal oversight and direction.
