*Title : DATA/BUSINESS ANALYST Location : Houston, TX Duration : 12 months Rate : $40/Hr* DATA/BUSINESS ANALYST: This position will be responsible for managing and analyzing the data needs for various projects. The ideal candidate will be considered a valued resource by developers, DBAs, Sys Admins, ETL Developers and business partners. Essential Duties: Work in depth with business partners to define and refine requirements Probe business to gain thorough understanding of direction and needs Understand the business and see the ‘big picture’ and assist in designing systems and relevant data to easily support future business requests Make suggestions on how to gain efficiencies to provide more useful information to functional groups Analyze software requests to determine feasibility from data and reporting perspectives Consult with team members, manager, & other IT teams to evaluate interfaces between hardware/software, & operational/performance requirements of applications Review and/or develop queries, ETL jobs, data and application flows for several functional groups to support business needs and reporting systems Consult with end users to ensure requirements are met and application is functioning as expected Mentor and assist other team members Additional duties assigned by management Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or related field Strong understanding of relational databases Strong SQL skills Skilled in data modeling and architecture Some ETL Skills or ability to follow ETL flows – Preferably experience with DataStage Technical and data troubleshooting skills Strong data visualization skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate and manage in both IT and business areas ------------------------------------------- Thanks and Best Regards, Sam Riley | Sr Technical Recruiter Email: [email protected] Direct: 201-710-8278 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
