*Title : Project manager Location : Boston, MA Duration : 12 Months Rate : $45/Hr* The Senior Project Manager*s duties include: * Communicate and coordinate with sponsors and customer representatives to ensure program needs are met; * Work closely with vendor and the client's *legacy systems* staff to manage the implementation of the individual COTS products to transition from current applications to the new products; * Produce project status reports to be presented to business/program sponsors, the Capital PMO, and key IT governance groups; * Maintain needed information, artifacts and reports to meet the Internal Validation and Verification (IV&V) contractor*s needs; * Ensure project architectural and data model integration and interdependencies are defined and delivered by the Integration Vendor; * Develop and manage program timelines and program plans/work break down structures (WBS) while meeting program deadlines; * Provide assurance that the project achieve desired business and technical objectives while meeting quality standards and budget constraints; * Manage program risk identification, communication, and mitigation; * Create, validate and communicate project status and deliverables; * Coordinate with staff subject matter experts,Architect and Application Database Administrator and external stakeholders regarding project deliverables; * Crovide strong leadership and team building to create a cohesive project team; * Manage expectations from various program stakeholders; * Project staff and ensuring that project deliverables on schedule; * Manage requirements, specifications and design sessions; * Manage program budget accordingly; * Execute projects according to PMI best practices and/or structured development approaches (SDLC, RUP, ITIL); * Implement, adhere to, and enforce the Project Management Guideline methodology, including preparation of documentation, conducting architecture reviews and following release management protocols assigned by the Department in order to align with EOE policies and strategies; and * Perform other functions as required. * Based on assignment, travel throughout the Commonwealth is required. 2. Qualifications: Applicants must have at least (A) five years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in EDP systems analysis, of which (B) at least three years must have been in work in which the major duties included computer systems analysis.
