Manage the design, configuration, installation, deployment and upgrades of all Microsoft Windows server operating systems, third party application software, networking and SAN storage 2. Definition, deployment and management of complex fault tolerant Windows server configurations 3. Manage the design, configuration, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all Virtual Server Hosting systems 4. Responsible to support Customer specific Security policies and procedures including full User access support, support for internal and external audits and compliance testing 5. Strong understanding and comprehension of ITIL fundamentals 6. Identify, troubleshoot and report on problems with server hardware, software, applications, networking and IPSec related problems 7. Experienced with management and administration of large-scale (50+ servers) Microsoft clusters 8. Proficient in system performance measurement and optimization 9. Comprehensive Windows Server administration (NT, 2000, 2003) and problem analysis and troubleshooting skills 10. Experience managing Microsoft Windows systems with proven involvement in applications with stringent uptime and performance service levels 11. Configure and deploy Windows solutions designed by the Architecture team. 12. Strong knowledge and experience in SLES/Red Hat Enterprise Linux 13. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server concepts 14. Capacity, Recovery & Performance planning 15. ADS / Domain / DNS / FTP / WWW concepts, configuration and deployment 16. Security implementation and maintenance in Windows Servers 17. Integration of AD / NT security with other security products 18. Proficient with scripting Job Description 1. Comprehensive knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server (including IIS); Exchange 2000/2003 Server; management and maintenance of Active Directory 2. Security management (including Group Policy Objects) 3. TCP/IP networking with expertise with LAN network administration 4. Excellent knowledge of server hardware with strong analytical / problem-solving skills 5. Establish and document server configurations, standards and procedures 6. Project management and documentation skills 7. Demonstrated ability to be a team player and willingness to lend a hand with any project 8. Demonstrated ability to manage packages (release updates) and apply security patches 9. Install, configure, maintain and perform system integration testing of Windows based hardware, operating systems and related utilities 10. Responsible for troubleshooting Windows Intel/AMD based hardware and software problems 11. Monitor systems activities and fine tunes system parameters and configuration settings to optimize performance and ensure system security 12. Perform capacity analysis, monitor and control usage of local / SAN disk 13. Develops procedures for routine administrative tasks including backup / restore, shutdown and start-up 14. Provide recommendations for improving the server environment, such as capacity thresholds, security gap, patch levels and hardware recalls 15. Coordinate with service provider for issues and incidents related to critical Server outages, SEV 1 issues and RCA’s 16. Coordinate maintenance and upgrade activities with OEM vendors 17. Test and ensure servers and peripheral devices are ready for hot stand-by 18. Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation 19.
