*Title of Position:* Infrastructure Engineer *Duration: *6 Months *Location:* Chicago, IL *Rate:* $55 all Inc * * *Description/Job Summary* The position holder assists management in the development, implementation and communications of the infrastructure strategy. The individual will have significant contribution to initial decisions and ongoing operations of the technical infrastructure across the organization. Specific duties include leading the deployment and operational support for all physical and virtual hosting resources and operating systems. The candidate will have one or more subject matter responsibilities for network services including messaging, groupware, AD, virtualization, and other infrastructure applications (Citrix, SCCM, etc.) based on the Microsoft platform. The candidate will also play a key role in defining the architecture for infrastructure strategies including file, print, storage, backup, capacity planning among various other strategies and/or processes. *Responsibilities/Duties* · Works as a Senior Level technical resource to project teams in Infrastructure and Applications · Provide technical guidance and/or leadership for small to medium size systems projects. · Responsible for communicating / coordinating Infrastructure changes within the organization. · Assures that systems integrity is maintained and secure for all business services. · Adhere to and advise on the specific infrastructure standards. · Work with the Enterprise Architect and the Applications Architects to drive new strategies and standards *Required Skills* · Thorough understanding of Server hardware, storage and backup solutions. · Proficiency in a Microsoft Network and operational management frame work. · Thorough understanding of Exchange and communications to the Outlook client. · An understanding of thin client technology with emphasis on Citrix Xen Server. · An understanding of local area networks, switches, routers, firewalls and infrastructure cabling. · Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. · Proactive in problem solving and ability to see the “bigger picture”. · Good interpersonal communications skills. · Good organizational and documentation skills. · Above average analytical skills with an eye for detail. · Thorough understanding of all standard infrastructure equipment. · Bachelor’s degree required. -- With Regards Richard Email: [email protected] <email%[email protected]> YIM: richard_prosoft -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
