*Title*: Sr. SAP BASIS Administrator *Location*: Sacramento, CA *Start Date*: May *Duration*: 7 Months *Year Experience*:* 10+ Years* *Rate: *Market *Purpose*: The client is seeking an SAP Basis Administrator who possesses hands-on SAP Basis administration experience and has proven experience in the daily monitoring, advanced troubleshooting, proactive system analysis, standard SAP Basis administration activities, and management of complex SAP landscapes including these SAP products (ECC, BW, Solution Manager, and Enterprise Portal). This individual should have experience in multiple SAP release installations and experience in system landscape migration in large scale and complex landscape environments. *Essential Functions*: Supports SAP system software and hardware infrastructure (ECC, BW, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, Oracle, Solaris, AIX); planning, executing and communicating a normal maintenance schedule; analyzing, communicating, and resolving problems for non-planned down times; scheduling and implementing back-up and restore components of the SAP production and non-production environments; provide support for the District SAP batch processing and printing function; and assist in SAP upgrade planning (ECC, BW, EP, NetWeaver and other components). Analyzes the need for modifications, upgrades and enhancements to existing SAP system software and/or hardware by evaluating the effectiveness of the current system; providing consulting expertise to functional teams and technical staff; and coordinating, planning and executing enhancement activities. Supports the SAP infrastructure by managing the SAP/R3 environment; monitoring systems including database, operating system and SAP/R3; coordinating and communicating with SAP functional staff, SAP technical support staff and other technical support organizations. . Plans, coordinates, prioritizes, monitors and guides work activities with work unit employees.
