Job Tittle :J2EE/JAVA Build Manager Location: Minneapolis,MN. Duration: 3-6 Months Contract. Rate: DOE. *Position Overview:* The FRB is seeking a J2EE/JAVA Build Manager in a UNIX server environment to add to our FedACH Infrastructure Team. This person will work closely with our numerous distributed development teams and our Release Manager to ensure the successful compilation, package, and delivery of mission critical java applications as part of our application migration and deployment process and the our larger SDLC. The tools currently in usage for this process are Subversion (SVN), Maven, shell scripts, Archiva, and Artifactory. *Description:* This is a senior level position that requires previous build management experience in a complex J2EE environment. This person will be responsible for learning our current environment (whose tools include; svn, maven, archiva, and artifactory) and making suggestions for potential improvements to allow for flexibility and scalability. *Success Attributes:* Previous J2EE build manager experience Strong shell scripting skills and experience Excellent communication skills Excellent attention to detail In depth knowledge of Subversion and Maven Experience with AIX and Solaris *Essential Functions:* Develop software freeze, build, package, and delivery scripts using shell scripting, Subversion, and Maven. Work with various J2EE development teams to perform formal software freezes and releases for distributed applications. Work with development teams and CBAF (business area) to perform QA and Production software build, package, and delivery for software releases. Design, document, implement, and enforce software release management policies and processes. Install, configure, maintain, and administer Subversion version control software and configuration management tools. Provide technical support and training for version control and configuration management tools. Work with management, Audit, and Information Security to insure compliance with FRB standards. Work toward ongoing improvement of FedACH software release management processes. Advise developers and management on optimal release management and source code repository practices. Ability to work and succeed in a fast paced, dynamically changing, and challenging environment. *Education:* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; major or coursework in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) is preferred. *Experience:* 3-5+ years building J2EE/JAVA applications in an agile environment 3-5+ years experience with UNIX shell scripting (Solaris and AIX) 1-3+ years experience with Subversion and Maven Experience with Archiva and Artifactory preferred Experience with J2EE, Oracle * Thanks & Regards....?
