The goal of the effort is to move existing J2EE 1.4 applications to Java EE 5, including moving from Hibernate and entity-bean based persistence to Java Persistence API (JPA). Participate in all facets of the project including prototype development, performance/load testing, technology evaluation and selection and documentation.* * * * * *Key Skills/Attributes* - *Strong Java EE Development Skills including hands-on experience with EJB 2.1 - 3.1. * - *Hands on experience with JPA 2 (Java Persistence API) and Hibernate 3. * - *Experience with Oracle and SQL. * - *Hands on experience with WebSphere (6.1, 7.0). * - *Prior experience conducting a technology evaluation/selection. * - *Strong written and verbal communication skills. * *Background in technology leadership/architecture.
