Job Description
. How to characterize their Linux Servers and WebLogic Servers for
virtualization,
. VMware best practices for Linux Servers and WebLogic Servers - best practice
guidelines for ensuring your VMware Infrastructure platform is properly
configured for running Linux Servers and WebLogic Servers, including guidance
in the areas of CPU, memory, storage, and networking
. Storage architecture and recommendations for disk sizing, thin provisioning,
deployment options, layout and alignment.
. Availability options and tiers of service
. Disaster Recovery Planning and recommendations for Linux Servers and
WebLogic Servers environment
. Resource Management Strategies and design recommendations
. Capacity Planning and use of vCenter CapacityIQ, AppSpeed and other VMware
tools to facilitate planning requirements
. Deployment and operations - best practice guidelines for deploying Linux
Servers and WebLogic Servers on VMware Infrastructure focusing on monitoring,
management, backup, licensing strategy and related common operational best
practices.
. Provide services for a design validation in a Client environment based on
Client provided use cases. A staged environment that meets the technical
requirements as dictated in the preliminary design recommendation provided by
VMware will be provided by Client.
