Position: Project lead

Location: Parsipanny , NJ

Duration: 6 months

Experience Required:
Minimum of 6 years of a professional level job.
Proven experience in the development and implementation of a Project
Management Practice.
A minimum two years supervising staff in a project management or business
analysis role.


Technical and Functional Skill:
* Proven proficiency in the design and implementation of a Project
Management Office
* Functional knowledge of the Computer Associates Clarity application a plus
* Project leadership skills including resource management, project planning
and tracking, estimating, risk analysis, sponsor relations, status
communication, problem identification and resolution
* Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and
tools.
* Demonstrated proficiency in the use of project management tools
* Experience in managing application package acquisition, integration and
implementation as well as new development
* Ability to analyze comprehensive business processes, complex problems,
interpret operational needs, perform in-depth work analyses, and develop
computer-generated flow charts
* Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
* Ability to develop project budgets and projections
* Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures,
formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and
procedures
* Group facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
* Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications
* Ability to develop, plan and implement short- and long-range goals



Roles And Resposibilities:
* Design and Implementation of a Project Management Practice (PMP) for the
Wyndham Corporate Business Unit
* Provides recommendations on policies and goals desired; and implements
new/revised programs according to established guidelines
* Create, refine, and enforce a structured Project Management Practice
process
* Identify, develop and deliver training for the Project Management Practice
process
* Provides supervision and guidance to the PMP project managers
* Participates in departmental strategic and budgetary planning processes
* Prepares job descriptions, identifies staffing needs, provides general
direction, assigns specific tasks and responsibilities, evaluates and
mentors staff
* Provides direction to project teams including assignment of individual
responsibilities,tasks and technical functions
* Oversees various projects of significant magnitude in terms of complexity,
cost, time-constraints, internal and external staffing, and equipment
including software and hardware.
* Identifies needs and will allocate the appropriate resources to meet
timely completion of specific project tasks
* Continually monitors individual progress to ensure meeting of specific
deadlines
* Coordinates changes of considerable consequences to the scope and schedule
of the project
* Leads and coordinates project update meetings, and documents project
status and issues
* Apprises senior IT management of project status, issues and concerns
* Ensures the validity of the IT Executive Project Dashboard
* Actively pursues issue resolution, and communicates project status/issues
to business stakeholders and operational management
* Acts as the key liaison across all functional areas, including Business
Units, IT and Vendors
* Support project initiatives, including identifying and analyzing
preliminary business needs, budget considerations, time and resource
estimates, defining the project scope and objectives, and getting business
user sign-off
* Performs other related duties of a comparable level/type as required.
