Title: IBM WebSphere Portal Administrator Location: Oakland, CA Duration: 6+ Months Rate: $DOE Required skills: IBM WebSphere Portal 6 experience a must, Portal 7 experience a plus The Portal/CMS((content management system) Administrator, as a member of the web portal project team, maintains and provides centralized administration of the Enterprise Portal Framework and coordinates a distributed network of portal administrator. As the Content Management System (CMS) Administrator for CLIENT'S Vine, the Portal/CMS Administrator provides help and support for content authors for CLIENT'S Vine who use the CMS(content management system). The Portal/CMS Administrator serves as a liaison between the content author community and CLIENT'SIT technical community to ensure that issues arising in the content authoring processes are escalated and resolved. Will also support administration of CLIENT'S IdeaBook which is the social network and collaboration tools used within CLIENT'S Vine. Portal Site Architecture, User Interface, Branding, and Design . Implements information architecture and data schemas based on instructions and guidelines from the User Experience lead. . Develops pages, portlets, templates, and workflow for content authoring. . Work with information technology, design team, and vendors to maintain and edit the portal architecture, user interface, and branded design . Coordinate Portal work and engage across various IT teams as necessary . Solid understanding of CSS . Solid web development/GUI experience using HTML. Knowledge and experience with Java Script, JSPs, Perl and XML is a plus. .
