Role -: Network Admin/Engineer
Duration -: 1+ YEARS
Location-: Beaverton, Oregon
Rates -: $45-50/hr on c2c
Job Description: Mandatory skills (please enter all mandatory skills customer
will look for) Strong Unix / Linux sys admin, shell scripting, network
administration, as well as web server and application server install and
administration skills.
This role would differ slightly (from what I understand) from the basic Site
Ops role in that it would include more application level administrative tasks
in addition to the system level administration. This would not necessarily
include mundane things like setting user and group permissions one by one, but
would include things like researching the best way to propagate user and group
permissions between various environments via scripting or automation. This
person would ideally be our CQ administrative specialist, submitting support
tickets and taking point on communications with CQ support, gleaning from the
experience of others on the CQ knowledge base and forums, keeping us up to date
on patches and so forth. Some additional criteria to general Site Ops skills
(if these are not already on their list) might include the following, though
these are not necessarily all required:
Java programming experience or basic Java language understanding (i.e. can read
stack trace in log file)
Java based application server install, configuration and administration
experience, i.e. JBoss, Weblogic, Websphere, Tomcat
Experience with Java / other web app performance monitoring and / or log
analysis
CMS platform install / admin experience - ideally CQ5 or other Java based
Job Description: Good-to-have skills Experience with the following a plus:
· VMWare / virtualization
· application build / CI (preferably Maven, Ant still good)
· application install and configuration automation using puppet, chef or
similar
