Job Title: Peoplesoft Financials Consultant

Location: Brea, California

Duration: 3 Months+



·         Minimum of 4-5 years experience in the analysis, design,
development, testing and implementation of applications in the PeopleSoft
8.3 or higher environment.

·         Candidate should have extensive knowledge of People Tools,
Application Designer, People Code, Application Engine, SQR, Oracle
(SQL/PL/SQL) query, Process Scheduler, Unix navigation and scripting

·         Experience also desirable but not required in Component
interface, Application Messaging, Integration Broker, Business Interlinks,
HTML, XML, Javascript and Autosys.

·         Candidate should have good written and verbal communication
skills, good project management skills and should be able to work
efficiently individually or in a team environment



*OVERVIEW: *

·         Senior Applications Programmer/Analysts are competent to perform
work at the highest technical level.

·         They are individual contributors to the development, integration
with, maintenance and enhancement of business applications, providing
specialized technical or business knowledge to projects. Incumbents act as
internal consultants, providing technical guidance or business process
expertise on the most complex projects or researching strategic planning
matters from a technical or business standpoint. Incumbents are familiar
with project management techniques and may have project leadership
responsibilities for small projects or subprojects. They also possess good
coaching skills.

·         They share responsibility with other team members to ensure
on-time product delivery.



*RESPONSIBILITIES:*

·         Provide technical expertise within an assigned business
unit/area, usually as a member of a project team, in the analysis, design,
development and integration between business applications.

·         Analyze and document business requirements and design or
recommend cost effective solutions.

·         Develop new and maintain existing applications using standard
programming languages and development methodologies.

·         Develop and execute test plans that ensure systems and
application integrity and quality.

·         Provide troubleshooting support for existing applications.

·         Develop documentation for all existing applications.

·         Stay abreast of new trends in development tools and techniques.

·         Assist in developing and maintaining corporate standards for
applications development.

·         Monitor and report to management on the status of project
efforts, anticipating / identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of
project goals and implementing corrective actions.



*SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE:*

·         Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience managing
systems development in new computing architecture and environments (e.g.,
client/server, enterprise application integration, Web). Knowledge of
relevant technology, tools, and middleware.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability
to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

·         Results oriented with the ability to demonstrate strong creative
and analytical problem solving skills.

·         Self-starter with strong project management skills. Must be able
to multi-task.

·         Able to operate as a part of a team organizing, planning, and
executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation.

·         Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work well on
cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks.

·         Must be a successful technical problem solver and adept at
assimilating new technologies.

·         Strong time management skills with the ability to work on
multiple projects.

·         Good interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong
relations with users.



*EXPERIENCE:*

·         A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related
discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training, is
required.

·         *6 **to 7 years* of experience in business application design,
development, integration, installation, and modification in an online
environment.

·         Knowledge of project management techniques is required
(Cross-functional experience is highly desirable)

·         Candidate must have experience with AP,AR,GL,AM modules. Need to
have enough experience in these modules to hit the ground running for this
assignment. Manager needs a candidate that join the team and be productive
immediately, with little to no training

*Experience required and certification desired in one or more of the
following disciplines:*

·         PS Financials

·         SQL / SQR

·         People Tools

·         Query Tool

·         Crystal Reports

·         eGate or other middleware
