Position Summary:
This person will participate in all or part of the full software
development life-cycle process, ranging from requirement analysis to
development and support. The position involves a mix of enhancements
to existing applications to support the evolving needs of the
software, as well as new development and support fixes.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in all technical aspects of software projects including
project planning, developing estimates, technical design, code
construction, testing and related technical documentation
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues and document findings. Enact
corrections to software
• Work closely with Project Management to help define project
requirements and offer technical implications of project decisions
• Assist in software testing, release planning and management, and
production release so that clients’ internal quality standards are met
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of VB.Net (eg. WinForms and codebehinds) and
ASP.net application development experience
• Minimum of 5 years of SQL Server and Stored Procedures experience
• Expert level JavaScript
• Proficient with Web Services
• Proficient with DHTML/HTML, CSS and XML
• A solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and
Object Oriented Programming
• AJAX, WPF and WCF experience a plus
• Message Queuing and Delivery experience (eg. IBM MQSeries)
experience a plus
• Knowledge of and experience with planning, project management, and
quality assurance as it relates to software development projects
• Financial Industry experience a plus
